Joyce Sy [Philippines, Planning Officer II of Makati City]

Joyce Sy, a registered social worker with 15 years of experience in urban planning in the Philippines. A graduate of Sociology at Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), and later on took Social Work at Asian Social Institute (ASI) and Master of Social Work at University of Auckland (UoA).
She is currently working as a planning officer under the Urban Development Department in the City Government of Makati and is involved in the city’s various programs under social services, social protection, disaster risk reduction and management, climate change adaptation, green financing, smart city and sustainable development. She is also function as the link between the city government and its various international development partners. When not working, Joyce enjoys spending time in a slower pace with family and close friends.
